The star of the movie “Aquaman”, Amber Heard has been the topic of news for quite some time now. However, this time the reason for it can be seen in a brighter light. On July 1st, through an Instagram post, Heard announced the arrival of her little one into her life. This surprised her followers a lot.
A source close to Heard mentioned that she was previously told she can’t bear her own child. But motherhood was something she had longed for a while. And so, she made it happen via surrogacy. In an interview with Page Six, her Friend stated “She always knew that she wanted to be a mom, and this is her greatest wish come true. She’s so grateful to the wonderful woman who helped bring Oonagh into her life.”
Ever since May of 2016 heard had been on and off the tabloids for her tumultuous relationship with her then-husband, Johnny Depp. Heard obtained a restraining order against the beloved actor accusing him of domestic violence. This blacklisted him by countless fans and colleagues. But last year many unknown facts and evidence of their relationship dynamic came to light, as Depp sued The Sun, a British tabloid newspaper, for defamation. This caused Heard to face more backlash from Depp’s as well as her fans. All of this was probably the reason why she had hidden the birth of her daughter.
She wrote in her post that her daughter was born on the 8th of April, 2021. She named her Oonagh Paige Heard. Her Middle name Paige was dedicated to heards’ own mother who passed away in May 2020. She conveyed her long desire to be a mother for over 4 years, but she wanted to do it on her own terms. She spoke about normalizing wanting to have a baby as a single mother. Although it is quite common and somewhat accepted at the present already.
We hope that Heard can grow as a person alongside her new child. And become a good example and role model for her own daughter.
