If you are a make-up enthusiast like most people these days, then I bet you are curious about how the most exotic and seductive looks are done on celebrities and influencers. Now they won’t always tell you or show you through a video, how they got the look. But, we will guide you through the process as best we can. So, scroll down and learn how you can get Sonam Kapoor‘s captivating all-black smokey eye look.
First things first, let me clear out one misconception that you may have. You DO NOT NEED a whole bunch of colors from different palettes to do every smokey look. Sometimes all you need a just one very pigmented shade and your most trusted tool, A BLENDING BRUSH.
- Now let’s start off with a luminous base with minimal and sheer products. A tinted moisturizer or lightweight Dewey foundation will do. Afterward, you can conceal under your eyes, around your mouth and nose, or anywhere needed. Try the 6 point concealer hack to lift your face.
- And even though you don’t need it, but if you want to contour your face, use a cream formula that blends in seamlessly without a trace. Next, add a bit of cream blush as well to give yourself the rosy sunkissed look.
- Now with your base all done, set everything with a translucent loose powder to prevent any creasing. Remember setting it with powder doesn’t mean you should go full-on matte. Just pat a little on.
- Finally, we’re at the eyes. For this step, you will be needing a smudge-proof black eyeshadow stick and only trace along the upper lid from the inner to the outer corner staying close to the lid. It doesn’t need to be flawless since you’ll be smudging it. Trace it along the waterline as well and smudge it slightly. Carefully use a black eyeshadow powder to give the upper lid a more blended look and set the lower waterline to stop any creasing.
- Now to put the whole look together, apply 2 coats of your voluminous mascara and place natural-looking fake lashes as close to your real lashes as possible.
And voila! Sonam Kapoor’s all-black smokey look you wanted is all done! Don’t forget to lock everything in place with a setting spray. This look is not just restricted to the color black only. Do your own experiments. Just make sure you don’t look like Effie from the Hunger Games.
