Green tea has so many health and beauty benefits, that it only makes sense that we should apply it to our faces as a mask. But, what are the ways you can make the best use out of them? To help answer this lingering question, here are 8 ways to prepare green tea face packs at home.

  1. With Honey: Mix 1tbsp of green tea, 1tbsp of baking soda, and 1tbsp of honey into a thick paste. Apply evenly to your face and leave it on for 10-15 mins. Rinse it off with plain water and pat it dry. OR, Mix 1tbsp of green tea with 2tbsp of honey and leave it on the face for 15-20 mins. Rinse with cool water. Apply once a week. This hydrates the skin and reduces inflammation. Suitable for dry face.
  2. With Banana: Smash 1 ripe banana and add 2tsp of green tea with it and apply evenly on the skin. Rinse with cool water. Use it 1-2 times a week. It helps keep the skin soft and plump.
  3. With Lemon: Mix 1tbsp of brewed green tea and 1tsp of lemon juice and use it as a toner and let it stay for 10 mins. Then wash it off with cool water. Use it once a day. It helps with hyperpigmentation and brightens the skin. Suitable for oily face.
  4. With Orange Peel: Mix 1tbsp Green tea, 1tbsp of orange peel powder, and 1/2tsp of honey and scrub your face in Circular motion. Leave it on for 15 mins. Rinse with warm water. Use it 1-2 times a week. This has anti-aging properties. Suitable for normal skin.
  5. With Mint: Mix 1tbsp green tea, 1tbsp mint leaf paste, a half tbsp of raw honey and leave it on for 15-20 mins. Wash it off and pat dry. Use it 1-2 times a week. This has hydrating properties. Suitable for normal skin.
  6. With Rice Flour: Mix 2tbsp rice flour, 1tbsp green tea, and 1tbsp lemon juice and leave it on for 15-20 mins. Wash it off and pat dry. Use it 1-2 times a week. Reduces photoaging, inflammation, and hyperpigmentation. Suitable for oily face.
  7. With Multani Mati: Mix 1tbsp Multani mati and 2-3tbsp of freshly brewed green tea and leave it on for 15-20 mins. Wash it off and pat dry. Use it 1-2 times a week. Remove dead skin cells and excess oil. Suitable for oily face.
  8. With Yogurt: Mix 1tsp of yogurt, 1tsp lemon juice, and 1tsp of green tea and leave it on for 15-20 mins. Wash it off and pat dry. Use it 1-2 times a week. Reduces Hyperpigmentation.
