The actress, singer, development worker, mother Rafiath Rashid Mithila has even taken up writing. She recently wrote a children’s book called ‘Africay Singher Khoje’ which was launched in this year’s book fair at Bangla Academy.
On the 5th of March at 12 pm, the book unveiling ceremony took place at ‘Shishu Chattor” at the book fair. Her daughter was there as well to accompany her to the ceremony.
The inspiration for her new book came from her visit with her daughter to the African safari park. It was written from the remanence of that special memory shared with her daughter Ayra.
Mithila is also the head of the Early Childhood Program at BRAC International. For work, she had to visit different African countries and her travel companion was her daughter. They shared some candid moments together in hope of finding lions in African safari parks.
Mithila expressed to the reporters that this was written from her blissful memory but also he realized the lack of quality content in Bangla children’s book. She wanted to contribute to that as well. Therefore, she launched her newest book. Her first book was also an exploit from her trips to Africa as well, it’s called “Ayra Ar Mayer Ovijan: Tanzaniar Dipe’. Her book will be available at stall 195 at Bangla Academy’s book fair.
