In this Ramadan, we definitely need food and drinks on our menu to help us beat the heat. After a long hard day at work, your taste buds would crave something refreshing. Therefore, we are here with a refreshing sour mango recipe for you to try for iftar. Sour mangoes are finally in season and here’s how you can utilize them:
Ingredients:
- 1 large green mango or 3 small ones
- Sugar-1 cup
- Coriander- 1 table spoon
- 1 green chili chopped
- Sugar- 1/4 cups
- Salt- 1 tea spoon
- Mint- 1 table spoon
- Room temperature water- 1/2 cup
- Cold water- 1 and 1/2 cups
- Ice cubes
- Chaat Masala for taste
Method:
- Take a large green mango or 2/3 small ones and chop them up into cubes
- Then put the chopped mangoes in a blender
- add lime, coriander, chili, sugar, salt, mint, and half a cup of water
- blend all of the ingredients until it’s nice and smooth
- Then add one and a half cups of cold water and blend for 1 minute
- Finally, the mixture will be ready to serve, you can add extra ice before serving
- You can add the chaat masala at the end before serving as well
Note: You can add extra sugar if the drink is too sour for you. It’s wise to avoid drinks that are too acidic on an empty stomach.
