The holy month of Ramadan is knocking at our doors. We’ll all be bidding farewell to our normal daily routines and preparing ourselves for the month of fasting and praying. We have very little time on our hands before the holy month starts so let’s utilize our time wisely. Here are some ways we can prepare ourselves better for Ramadan.

Make a checklist of activities

I know you may have it all planned out in your head but making a checklist can definitely benefit you. Let’s face it juggling work everything together can get quite taxing on you. So make a list of things you wish to do so it also works as a reminder for you and you can manage the time accordingly.

Read a little on Ramadan

We might have fasted all our lives without even knowing some of the key reasons behind it. So, if you have the time read a little bit on the internalized meaning of this month. It will definitely inspire you and make your Iman much stronger.

Try fasting beforehand

Like everything else your body also needs getting used to the new routine. To save yourself from feeling bad on the very first day try fasting a day ahead. This will give your body some time to adjust to the new routine.

Plan your meals

Usually during Ramadan, after we break our fast we are bombarded with different kinds of food. To avoid this situation we can plan our meals and daily intake ahead of time. Once you start eating moderately you’ll notice the benefits firsthand. You can be mindful of the amount of carbs, protein, and all the other elements you have and alter it according to your needs.

Keep time for exercise

Fasting can get quite taxing on your body plus there’s a lot of work that comes along with it. So, many of us skip working out at this time due to fear or due to a lack of pre-planning. So, before Ramadan starts prepare yourself mentally for it.

Just with a little bit of pre-planning you might end up having time to work, fast and pray without feeling all of them together is a hassle.
