During the cold winter morning, the ray of sunlight will feel like a godsend on our shivering skin. This delightful feeling of warmth might cost us later. Even though it’s never that sunny during this season, the harmful rays are still out there. And they are powerful enough to give us dark spots, tan lines, and age our skin faster. So, here are some effective ways you can get rid of your winter tan and keep your skin looking fresh and healthy in this cold weather.
Exfoliate With Yogurt Mix: Just like normal exfoliants remove the dead skin and impurities from your skin to promote healthy skin regeneration. This mixture of 1 tbsp of yogurt with 1/2 tsp turmeric root and 1tbsp gram flour will do the same while also getting rid of your tan lines.
Lemon Honey Mask: Lemon is a great source of vitamin c and honey has a lot of hydrating properties. So, these two mixed together can help with removing sun spots while keeping your skin soft, supple, and hydrated. After applying the mixture, leave it on for 30 mins and gently rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Potato Wipes: Potatoes are rich in Vitamin B(especially Nicotinamide) and Vitamin C which have skin lightening properties. So you can cut up a potato into thin slices and wipe it on tan spots. Leave the residues there for 5 minutes before rinsing them off. And in no time your skin won’t just look lighter but also tighter.
Papaya Mask: Riped papayas are rich in an enzyme called papain. Papain works great for removing tan marks from the skin. And raw honey is full of antioxidants that help reduce the effects of sun exposure as well. Now just mix 1 tsp of raw honey with 2 tbsp of ripped papaya paste and apply evenly on necessary spots. Leave it on for 20 mins then gently massage it in a circular motion with water to remove it.
Walking around with a tan in this season can make your whole winter experience unpleasant. This is the time people want to sport their natural glow, not blend in with their tan-colored outfits. So, try out these home remedies to get your glow back and enjoy this winter weather with a new zest for life. And don’t forget your SPF.
