Bangladesh is celebrating the golden jubilee of its independence. As a citizen it is definitely a matter of  fortune to get to celebrate this day. This celebration become more significant with the 100th birth celebration of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The man who lead us during the liberation war. To remind our warriors and celebrate the cognition of independence, country’s new lifestyle brand ‘Curious’ also took an initiative. Through the occasion the brand remembers the heroic freedom fighters with the letters written during the war. This exhibition and celebration of will continue till March 31.

‘Prothoma’ publication has published a collection of handwritten letters name ‘Ekattarer Chithi’. These letters were mostly written by the freedom fighters during the war, expressing the struggle, hardship and their sacrifices to earn the freedom. Many of these also describes the mental traumatic situation of these fearless sons who went to fight leaving all behind. Curios brand has used the replica of these letters to remind great warriors. 

To celebrate the golden jubilee, each floor of Curious’s banani outlet has been decorated with various red and green elements. Every piece of decoration has the touch of patriotism. On the show-window the mannequins were covered in red and green outfit and the letters were kept on a see through clay pot. That was a master stroke to change the whole atmosphere.

The interior of the floors is done by jamdani, yarn, leather and various handmade jewelry. Once you enter you’ll see the letters printed on white muslin hanging from the ceiling. Along with shopping you can give a look to this brilliant piece of art. Brown letters on white frame is as lively as their words. Even after 50 years, you will get goosebumps. The emotion will bring water to your eyes.
