The 20-year-old Miss England contestant is appearing in the competition bare-faced. Melisa Raouf is a student from London who is changing the ways of this competition with her bold statement. This is the first time in 94 years someone went bare-faced on the competition.

She’s a spokesperson for embracing natural beauty. Through her representation, she wants to inspire girls around the world. She believes that there is an unjust beauty standard in social media that she wanted to challenge.

Her promotion of natural beauty has been highly appreciated across the globe and this act has been getting a lot of hype as well. On Independent, she mentioned she received a lot of DMs “telling me how I’ve made them feel more confident in themselves.”

“It means a lot to me as I feel many girls of different ages wear makeup because they feel pressured to do so.”

“I never felt I met beauty standards. I have recently accepted that I am beautiful in my own skin and that’s why I decided to compete with no makeup,” she mentioned on the Independent.

She first introduced her no-makeup look in 2019 and she is back again this year to showcase what she believes in. All the very best to Melisa Raouf on her coming journey.
