The shadow of mourning rises in the air of Bollywood again. This time the news came to us like a shock! A rather young and renowned music director Wajid Khan died suddenly on Monday morning, June 1. A few days ago, Sajid-Wajid duo directed the music of Salman Khan’s two songs Pyaar Karona and Bhai Bhai.
Another famous music composer Salim Merchant reported the news of Wajid Khan’s death on social media. He wrote, ‘I am saddened by the sudden death of my brother. May Allah give strength to his family to fight in this difficult time. It was a great loss for us. I’m broken … ‘
In an interview with media, Salim Merchant said the 42-year-old Wajid had several physical problems. He had a kidney transplant a few days ago. And, he was kept on a ventilator for the last 4 days. So, the situation deteriorated rapidly.
The Sajid-Wajid duo started their Bollywood career in 1998 with Salman Khan’s film Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. After that, they directed the music of many films starring Salman. The list includes pictures like Dabang franchise, Chori Chori, Hello Brother, Wanted and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, etc.
