The Bollywood actors and CityLights co-stars, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha have finally decided to take their long-term relationship to the next level. After almost 11 years of dating, the couple decided to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony.
After actors like Katrina kaif and Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt joined the to-be-wed bandwagon, Rajkummar Rao and his partner, Patralekhaa, did not waste any time joining in on the parade.
When asked about any upcoming plans of nuptials in an interview in 2018, Patralekhaa responded with a firm, Not yet, She explained that there was still a lot that both her and Rao have yet to achieve before they decide to settle down. And also mentioned that a wedding was not in the cards for at least another 6-7 Years. Guess those plans have been cut short as after only 3 years the news of their upcoming wedding came so suddenly.
In another interview, when Patralekhaa was asked about their first impressions and interaction with each other, she said, “I saw him for the first time on-screen when I watched Love Sex Aur Dhokha. I thought that the weird guy he played in the film was actually what he was like. My perception of him was already tarnished. He told me later that he had first seen me in an ad and thought, ‘I’m going to marry her’. It was so ironic,”.
The pair have known each other since 2010 and have been in a live-in relationship for a few years now. They held each other in their hard times in Bollywood. And have always shown appreciation for each other’s success.
This upcoming nuptial ceremony is set to be celebrated from 10th to 12th of November After the festival of lights, Diwali. All the close friends and relatives have already been notified about the functions. The couple wishes to tie the knot in a closely-knit series of functions.
