The teaser for Sushmita Sen’s long-awaited web series “Taali” was released yesterday. The teaser begins with Sushmita’s voice over where she introduces herself as Shreegauri Sawant, while adjusting her saree in front of a mirror.
Sushmita Sen shared the teaser on her Instagram account and wrote, “From gaali to taali, the journey of Shreegauri Sawant. Presenting the story of Shreegauri Sawant’s fight for India’s third gender.”
Sushmita is shown in the teaser for “Taali” fighting for the rights of India’s third gender in a furious avatar.
The teaser begins with a voice-over in which the main character demands respect, self-respect, and the freedom to live their life from society. The next scene shows Sen, who is most likely a young Sawant from her college days, disguised as a guy. The next change in the frame shows Sawant changing into Gauri.
In this character Sen appears powerful and intense, she was wearing circular bindi and kohl in her eyes. So much so that you can’t take your eyes off her. Her facial expressions are commendable as she embodies herself in the character. Needless to say, she looks promising in “Tali”.
