Grameen UNIQLO is a joint venture with Grameen Bank. With the goal to contribute in the economy and social development of Bangladesh, this local brand starts its journey in 2011. Therefore, after selling cloths at a low price to rural woman, in 2013 Grameen UNIQLO opened its 1st outlet in the capital Dhaka. Currently, Grameen UNIQLO has 16 outlets around the country. The managing Director Nazmul Haque said, “Our continuous efforts to change the lifestyle of the people of Bangladesh and the welfare of the society is not a one-day affair. In the beginning we used to sell sanitary products and clothes to raise health awareness among the women of the village. We are trying to ensure comfortable clothing. ”
