She had to be the first one on our list. Anna Wintour is a person in fashion that is hard to miss. Her iconic bob haircut with big sunglasses makes her stay in people’s memories. She has been the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine since 1988. She is a worldwide inspiration in fashion for men and women across the globe. 

Bibi Russel-

She is one of the most iconic figures of sub-continental fashion. She is one of the first fashion models to make her mark on an international level. She is also an award-winning fashion designer who popularized sustainable fashion. She gave opportunities to thousands of rural workers to help in creating her unique clothing line. 

Stella McCartney-

One of the pioneers when it comes to sustainable fashion and acts against animal cruelty. She joined the fashion industry at a young age later became the creative director of Chloe, a Paris-based fashion house. Later she opened her own brand and her team was responsible for making the apparel for the Olympics team. She was also the designer of Duchess of Sussex, Megan Markle‘s wedding gown, and has designed a lot of clothes for the royals. 

Diane Von Furstenberg-

The American designer with Belgian roots is one of the leading names of the industry. Her work on fashion alongside empowering women makes her stand out. She launched her brand in 1970 and has gained respect worldwide. She’s been part of empowering women as well as she is part of Vital Voices. It’s an organization that mentors aspiring female leaders and entrepreneurs and DMF is in the position of the board helping countless young women. 

Dame Vivienne Westwood-

A designer, an activist, and a pioneer. She’s been bringing sustainability and climate-friendly activism in the fashion industry before anyone else. She is anti-establishment and has a voice against corporations using plastics and not eco-friendly products. She also believes more in quality than quantity therefore, she has no intention of expanding her brand rather has more emphasis on the quality of her product. These are the reasons behind her being one of the most popular fashion designers of all time.
