Bella Hadid fires back at Instagram for removing a post of her father’s birthplace! On Tuesday, 07 July, the supermodel took issue with the platform after she notifies that her Instagram story was removed because it violated the guideline of harassment and bullying.

Instagram authorities say that we have these guidelines because we want our community to feel respected and safe.

Bella Hadid posted her father’s passport photo of the United States. The photo listed his birthplace as Palestine. On the counter of this removal, Bella says that she wants to know which part of me being proud of my father’s birthplace of Palestine is bullying, harassment, graphic, or sexual nudity?

Star also asked the platform are we not allowed to be Palestinian on Instagram? To me, it is bullying. She added that we can not erase history by silencing people, it doesn’t work like that.

In the following post, Bella shared another post of her father’s passport with his passport number blurred out. She started to clear out that he is proud to be a Palestinian and urged every fan to post their parents’ birthplace and to be proud of where they come from.

According to a Facebook company spokesperson, content removed not because of the person’s nationality or ethnicity. The content is removed because of its references to Palestine. The Spokesperson added that to protect the privacy of our community, we don’t allow people to post personal information such as passport numbers on Instagram.

However, the company admits that Bella’s post was wrongly removed since the passport number had been blurred out. Instagram then restored the content and apologized to Bella.
