The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, announced on Twitter on Tuesday that he was buying the football team Manchester United, but he provided no other information.
It was unclear at first whether Musk intended to pursue a bid to buy Manchester United because of his unusual behavior and irreverent tweets.
The majority of Manchester United fans are probably in favor of a change in the hierarchy, as shown below by the protests and unhappiness with the club’s current ownership structure.
According to Stretty News, a group of Manchester United supporters even tweeted Musk urging him to purchase the team earlier this year.
They advised Musk, who is presently trying to acquire Twitter, to purchase the Premier League‘s heavyweights instead. So, it doesn’t come as a surprise when he suddenly announced something like that on Twitter given his track record. All we can do now is grab some popcorn and watch what Musk has in store for us next.
