We all color our hair from time to time. Hair coloring can be very fun because you get to experiment with different shades of colors. You also get to change your look completely each time you try out a new color. However, after a few months, your hair color won’t shine as much as the first time you colored. Often the hair ends up looking faded. There are ways you can restore the color.
You can do hair gross treatment
A hair gloss treatment is a clear, semi-permanent coating that makes hair look lustrous while also locking in the color underlying it. Refresh your hair color with a hair shine treatment. Unlike some hair colors, it does not contain ammonia and is safe to use on a regular basis. You can also apply an at-home gloss treatment, which takes only a few minutes in the shower and removes the dullness from your hair.
Take lesser showers
This is key in making your hair color last longer. If you take very frequent showers after coloring your hair the color will fade a lot faster. So change the frequency of showers to make your color stay longer.
Try rinsing with coffee
Coffee is an excellent technique to maintain the color of your brown hair without resorting to dangerous chemicals. Simply soak your hair in a cold cup of black coffee for a few minutes (without any milk or creamer). The darker the tint your hair absorbs the longer you brew the grinds.
Take cold showers
Avoid using showers with very hot water after coloring. Because the cuticle of your hair is opened when you wash it with hot water, your color fades considerably faster. Try shampooing with somewhat warm water, then rinsing with cold water after conditioning to keep your color from fading.
