  1. Baking: This does not mean putting your head in the oven. In this technique after applying your skincare products, primer, and then foundation, you have to place a thick layer of translucent powder over the critical points of the face. These points are your temple, under the eyes, along the bridge of your nose, along the jawlines, and the chin. Let the powder sit there for a while and set. After a few minutes, Brush it off. This won’t just give you a smooth finish but also a longer-lasting one.

2. Setting the Base: This technique was invented by MUA and Photographer Jordan Liberty and later popularized through Tiktok. Here, emphasis was given to building a sturdy base for the rest of the makeup. After your skincare product, moisturize and then put on some SPF. Let it sink into your skin and set it with some translucent powder. Use a setting spray on it. Now you can go on with your usual makeup routine, foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, powder, and setting spray again. If you can apply it strategically then you won’t look cakey even with this much product.

Go Minimal: Less makeup strategically applied gives better results than more makeup. This is especially true when a lot of friction with other surfaces is involved. Instead of foundation try using only concealer on the spots that need the extra attention. Set with translucent powder and a setting spray. This will give you a longer wear look that is not transferrable.

Set the Foundation: This one is the most full-proof way among the rest to get the mask-proof makeup we all want. After skincare products and primer, take 1 or 2 pumps of a liquid foundation in a pan and spray it with a setting spray and mix them well before applying it all over with a sponge or a flat top brush. Then powder and spray again with a setting spray and you are done.
