One of the most prestigious film festivals in the world is the Toronto International Film Festival. This year the festival will go online because of the epidemic. The 45th edition of the festival will go online from September 10 to 19. News says, Kate Winslet will receive special honor from this festival.
The organizers will replace physical gala to ensure the safety. However, in Toronto, some photo exhibitions and awards will permit to distribute in accordance with all precautions.
Kate is one of the most famous celebrities and actresses in the world, with awards like the Oscars, the Emmys, the Grammys and the British Academy Film Awards. She has acted in a three-decade career of different stories.
In an official announcement from the TIFF, it says, “Kate’s early works, such as “Heavenly Creatures,” “Sense and Sensitivity,” “Titanic” to recent “Revolutionary Road”, “The Reader,” “Mildred Pierce” and “Steve Jobs”, her presence is always strong, brave and unique.
Her film Amonit directed by Francis Lee that is invited to The TIFF this year, is a great one specially for her character in the film. She is one of the most respected and outstanding of her time. We are happy to honor someone like her.’
