‘Operation Sundarbans’ by Dipankar Dipan, the famous director of ‘Dhaka Attack’ is being made against the backdrop of pirates and bandits free Sundarbans. Its work is at the very last stage now. So the RAB Welfare Co-operative Society, the producer of the film, has finalized the possible release date. The film is going to be released on March 26 next year, on the 50th anniversary of independence.

This information was given by Lt. Col. Ashiq Billah, Director, Legal and Media Wing, at a press conference held afternoon (October 31) at the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) headquarters.

“We are going to finish shooting the film in three parts,” he said. Hopefully, I will be able to release the film on March 26 to mark the 50th anniversary of independence, he added. He also added, ‘Operation Sundarbans’ is not a profitable film, it is a film of social reformation. The profits from the film will be used to improve the living standards of the Sundarbans bandits who have returned to normal life.
