Yet another jewel added to the already glamorous crown of Allu Arjun. There is no shortage of action-packed commercial hits under this Tollywood Super Stars name. It almost seems like whatever this actor affiliates himself with becomes a box office success. After the immense success of two Bahubali films and KGF Chapters, Tollywood released another gem. Pushpa: The Rise became yet another box office success within a week of its opening at theatres.

Even when you see this trailer it might feel like the same old gangster flick with lots of explosions and fighting sequences. But that shouldn’t stop you in any way from watching it in theatres. If we can enjoy Salman Khan Playing the same role in all his movies and still flood the movie halls, so why not this time as well.

And that’s exactly what a lot of Allu Arjun‘s fans felt as well. This is why only after 5 days of release the movie has almost bagged the entire production cost of the film, Rs. 200 Crore(2 Billion rupees). As of Tuesday, 21st December the rough estimation stands at Rs. 159 crore.

Now let’s talk about the Good, the Bad, and the Meh aspects of the movie.

The Good:

  • Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj. His mannerisms and his performance truly brought the character to life.
  • The jaw-dropping entrances and action choreographies will have you cheering at the top of your lungs and leave you at the edge of your seats.
  • The endless train of villains, a total of 8. Just when you think here comes the main antagonist, there will be another one waiting at the back.
  • And finally, the five background scores by Devi Sri Prasad went perfectly with the corresponding scenes.

The Bad:

  • The chemistry between Pushpa and Srivalli, played by Rashmika Mandanna. Their acting was good and we are not criticizing that. However, the inclusion of a love interest and her back story felt forceful and played no major part in the plot of the movie. In fact, It was overshadowed by all the action.
  • Fahadh Faasil‘s character, as the supposed MAIN BAD GUY. After seeing films like Trance and Irul you start expecting so much from an actor just to see him in a comic role in this movie will leave you disappointed. But maybe we just have to wait for the sequel to see more of him.

The Meh:

In some instances, the storyline might seem like a drag and some scenes might feel like they should have been left on the editing floor. But there’s no denying that those scenes work as a build-up for episodes that cause an audience uproar.

So, in conclusion, Should you go watch this movie in the theatre? Hell yeah. Take some of your loudest friends along with you too. This type of movie is better when watched among a sea of an enthusiastic crowd.
