Himalayan mountains are now visible from the northern part of India because of the clear sky. For the first time in almost 30 years, residents of Jallandhar District of Punjab state are enjoying such a spectacular view. Everyone amazes at the snow-covered mountains, 125 miles from the Himalayas. On the roof of the house, few natural images captured on camera and shared on social media.

Due to a 21-day lockdown in combating coronavirus, air pollution has decreased in most parts of India. As a result, the Himalayas are visible from so far away.

Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh has seen the Himalayas for the first time. On the micro-blogging site Twitter, he wrote, “I have never seen such a view from the roof of my house in Jalandhar. I never thought it would be possible. It is now clear how much of the impact pollution has had on nature.’’

According to Swiss-based company IQAir, Delhi was at the top of the list of the most polluted cities in the world last year. However, pollution levels have been reduced due to the shutdown of cars and factories at the lockdown of 21 days. In such cases the weather has changed drastically.

India’s meteorological department says the nationwide lockdown has significantly improved air quality. India Today’s Data Intelligence Unit said the picture showed improvements in the air since the first day of lockdown.
