- Rice: Since many Korean dishes are incomplete with rice, rice cakes, or rice noodles, so it is also included in this diet.
- Protein: Meat, fish, eggs, Seafood, Mushrooms, Tofu are all great sources of protein and should be included in meals in small portions.
- Wheat-free Grains: Mung bean, potato, or tapioca starch constitute great alternatives to rice.
FOODS YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE:
- Fatty Foods: fatty meats, oil-fried foods, or oily seasonings.
- Wheat-containing Foods: white bread, pasta, cereals, pastries, or wheat-based flour.
- Dairy Products: milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, and any baked goods with dairy.
- Processed or Sugar-based Foods: Chocolates and candies are given, soft drinks, and all other food with added sugar.
HOW DOES IT HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT?
- As Korean cuisine is rich in vegetables that are high in fiber, they tend to evoke the feeling of fullness and reduce craving for more food.
- You are encouraged to lower the regular portion of food intake slowly until you find the optimum quantity that helps you burn more calories and yet feel full.
