It is not very much thought of in our music industry. Moreover, the number of such musicians is lower than that of the other. We are talking about the Singer-SongWriter. This time, these less recognizable artists are being brought up by a musical group called Bangladesh Singer SongWriters Hub.
One of the members of this group is Joy Shahriar. He said that the initiative was aimed at bringing young singer-writers to the country. The objective is three. One, to further enrich Bangladesh music industry with participation of these new people. Two, to give them a platform. Three, to inspire or introduce the Singer-SongWriter concept.
The conditions for participating in this contest are quite simple. You have to be a citizen of Bangladesh. Need to age range in between 16 to 35 years. You need to send your demo song made and sung by you. And most importantly, that song will be the first song of the contestant’s life. Which has been published on YouTube, Facebook or any social media in a very experimental way. Because the competition is called The First Song Project.
