Netflix made the formal announcement that Love, Death and Robots’ season 4 will be released on August 12 via a social media post. Nearly two months after the third season was released on Netflix. 

The series has won 12 Emmy Awards and has been nominated three times in a row for outstanding short form animated program. For the season 3 episode “Jibaro,” Alberto Mielgo won the Emmy Award for best individual achievement in animation.

Netflix also announced the renewal for volume 4 and provided some early details on the upcoming new episodes. The press release for the upcoming season states that vol. 4 will have nine episodes, ranging from comic apocalypses to tales of ancient evils.

Terror, imagination and beauty combine in nine new episodes which stretch from uncovering an ancient evil to a comedic apocalypse, telling startling short stories of fantasy, horror and science-fiction with trademark wit and visual invention.

We might not get to see the new season this year but fans are predicting that the fourth season might be aired in 2023. We might be getting a mix of various genres in the upcoming season.
