Netflix pulled in an incredible cast for Spiderhead! They are landing Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller, and Lovecraft Country’s Jurnee Smollett. This is Joseph Kosinski’s directorial venture based on George Saunder’s short story. The script is by Zombieland and Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
Kosinski is making this after his next movie Top Gun: Maverick with Tom Cruise, which brags Teller as one of its stars.
The story of Spiderhead is set in the future. Here, convicts offer the opportunity to chip in as clinical substances in order to shorten their sentences. The emphasis is on two detainees who become the test patients for feeling modifying drugs. It eventually powers the detainees to wrestle with their pasts in an office run by a splendid visionary who directs the program.
For Screen Arcade Eric Newman will produce this film. However, it is the maker’s first-look deal at Netflix, alongside Chris Hemsworth; Oren Katzeff and Geneva Wasserman for The New Yorker Studios; Reese and Wernick, Tommy Harper and Jeremy Steckler.
