For South Asian countries, the months of November to February are celebrated as wedding season. And there is no denying that we get most of our wedding inspirations from Bollywood. Be it movies or the stars’ real-life weddings, the level of ingenuity and innovation in the wedding scenes are endless. Among the list of star weddings that took place in 2021, Patralekhaa Paul And Rajkummar Rao‘s wedding gave us both classy and regal vibes. There are just so many ideas that we can attempt at our own celebrations. So, here are some of the most noteworthy ones from among them.

The Destination Is The Key: Everything, from the entry of the bride and groom to how final pictures would come out, depends on the venue. Try to opt for a location that echoes class with subtlety. Your surroundings should not steal the attention from you and your spouse. Rather adds some chicness to your aura. In Patralekhaa And Rajkummars’ case, they got hitched at The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort in Chandigarh. It’s an exclusive property located at the Himalayan foothills and is surrounded by over 8,000 acres of protected natural forest.

Keep It Close Knit: For many people, a wedding means time to invite the whole town over to celebrate with you on your big day. Or just a chance to boast about how much you can spend on a single day. But that’s old school now. The newlywed couple decided to keep it within their inner circles. Just family and some close friends from the industry and personal life. What more would you need than to be able to share your happiest day with your loved ones.

Set A Theme Color: There is more than one way to stand out in your own wedding than to cover yourself with jewelry and embellishments from head to toe. And that is setting up a dress code for your guests. This does not mean telling them what they can or can’t wear. Instead set a color scheme for their apparel. They are still free to choose what they will wear but you get to set the tone. For this particular wedding, the couple chose the color white for their guest. This doesn’t mean all guests wore white, but of a similar tone.

Keeping It Simple: Going overboard with the attire for the day could lead to you feeling cringe over your own wedding photos years later. Contrary to popular belief, you could also look regal from the simple side. Donning ivory silk jacket over same-colored kurta and churidar, accessorized with a layered necklace of cultured Japanese pearls, Rajkummar added a pop of color with a red turban that also matched with his bride. While Patralekhaa was dressed in a bright red tulle embroidered saree and dupatta. She also leaned on the side of minimalism when it came to her makeup and jewelry. With Diamond and Kundan encrusted in 22k gold Matha Patti, a statement Nath, Kundan studded danglers, a choker necklace, heavy gold balas, and a statement ring. She looked breathtakingly stunning. The bride and groom both were dressed in classic Sabyasachi creations.

Everyone has their own individual unique taste and flair which they like to showcase on their big day. So it’s okay if you don’t agree with the ideas mentioned above. The main thing that matters is it’s your and your partners’ day. At the end of the day, you have to live with your choices. So, make sure to make the ones that will make your experience the best one.
