What is life without makeup? As makeup has become such an important part of our lives we need to know the things that are considered absolutely sins in the eyes of the professionals.

Using the wrong foundation shade

Makeup is not supposed to make skin look lighter. Unfortunately, the majority of users still view foundation as a quick fix to look a few shades lighter, at least in this subcontinent. Selecting a color that complements one’s skin tone is always preferable because it evens out the skin and makes it appear smoother rather than cakey and pallid.

Using too much product

In this heat, applying too much base is not only useless but also rather painful. One base layer is sufficient if one merely has to visit the university or a shopping center. If one is going to be amid stage lights, such as at a wedding, a thinner top layer might be necessary. If not, though, too much will make you look overdone and might even melt or crack in the humidity.

Overlining the lips

Although lining outside the lip may have been a ridiculous makeup style in the 1990s, it is still unworkable today. Lip liner applied externally does not help lips appear fuller; rather, it merely gives them a poor definition and gives the impression that your lip work was poorly executed. Never line inside or outside of the lip line; always line along it.

Using unclean makeup tools

Brushes can accumulate bacteria over time due to makeup adhering to them. Because of this, using brushes for extended periods of time without cleaning them, or even borrowing brushes from others, can occasionally result in breakouts. Cleaning makeup equipment is simple. To make your brushes healthy and durable, give them a quick wash and rinse every so often.
