If you are a woman and you like to play around with make-up and experiment with different looks, then chances are that you have already found a highlighter that you want to experiment with a lot. But if you are new to the game then there is still so much left for you to know. Here, we will guide you on how to make the best use of your highlighters so that your looks can reflect the confidence within you.

With your MOISTURIZER:

On a day that you don’t feel like putting on too much make-up and want to look as natural as possible, use one drop of liquid highlighter with your moisturizing cream to give you a glowy look with the hydration that your skin craves. If you have to attend a casual gathering then put some light coverage foundation over it as well. Make sure that the foundation does not have a matte finish.

With your FOUNDATION:

If not with your moisturizer, then you can also mix liquid highlighters with your foundation with a heavier coverage to give you that dewy look. This will not only add dimension to your face but also accentuate the features of your face in the right light.

On your BODY:

When you want to wear an outfit that shows off your shoulders, collarbone, or your back, make sure to apply a little amount of highlighter over them. This will exaggerate the high points of your body and make your skin look flawless and healthy.

On your BROW BONE:

A little bit of it right under the brows and even over them can make them look more defined. It will give your eyes depth and dimension by focusing light and attention on the right spots.

On your EYES:

Use just a dab of it on the center of your eyes when the rest of the lid is covered with matte or bold colors. You can mix it with your favorite matte eye shadow to make it more flashy. If your eyes look tired then you can apply a tiny dab with a cotton bud in the inner corner of your eyes to wake them up.

On your CHEEKBONE:

This one is a given. but don’t overdo it, as that could make your face look oily and like a flashlight in photos. Just tiny dust under the eyes, just over the cheekbones will go a long way.

On your NOSE:

Using highlighters on your nose is also a given at this point. But the trick lies in how much to use and where. Use a tiny brush or your fingertips to apply over the nose bridge and on the tip of your nose. This helps to grab attention on the right spots and make your nose look defined without contouring them.

On your LIPS:

Dust a little dash of Highlighter over your lips with a small brush and apply a clear lip gloss over them to make your lips pop. This trick is very useful for people with plump lips. You can also use a small pencil brush or your pinky finger to apply a little amount over your cupid’s bow to help them catch people’s eyes whether you put on a nude or bold-colored matte lipstick.

On your CHIN:

Forehead, nose, and chin are the high points of your face and lie at the center of it. Focusing more attention on them will obviously make your face more dimensional. So, don’t forget to add some highlighter there as well.

If you follow these steps then in no time you can bring out your A-game when you go out for a gathering or just in general. But remember to practice them beforehand just to test and improve your ability.
