Using chemicals all the time to get rid of dandruff can damage our hair. Therefore, here are some natural ways you can get rid of it without much hassle.

Tea Tree oil

Tea tree oils have been popular for skincare routines its good for your scalp as well. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial characteristics that aid in dandruff treatment. It also attacks Malassezia, the fungus that causes dandruff. Tea tree oil can be applied to the skin and scalp to relieve dry skin and dandruff caused by fungal infections.

How to use it

  • Take 2-3 drops of tea tree oil and mix it with any other oil
  • Soak the mixed oil in a cotton pad and apply the mixture gently on your scalp
  • You can try doing this 3-4 times a week to get the best results

Coconut oil

I think at this point we are all aware of the benefits coconut oil has to enhance the quality of your hair. Because of its low molecular weight, coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft and helps to prevent protein loss. This can nourish and condition your hair, moisturize your scalp, and prevent dryness, all of which can help prevent dandruff.

How to use it

  • Take little amounts of coconut oil in your hands and massage your scalp gently
  • Wait an hour and a half before you decide to take a shower

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera’s antibacterial and antifungal capabilities have been shown to limit the growth of Malassezia furfur.

How to use it

  • Take a little bit of aloe vera gel into your hands and start massaging it in a circular motion on your scalp
  • Then wash your hair after an hour
  • You can repeat this process 2-3 times a week

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar includes acetic acid, which helps to balance the pH of your scalp. This can help to prevent dandruff by preventing moisture loss and scalp dryness.

How to use it

  • Take one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and dilute it with 3 tablespoons of water 
  • Apply the mixture to your scalp
  • Leave it only for a few minutes and wash it 

Baking Soda

Baking soda works as a moderate exfoliator on the scalp, removing dead skin and excess oil. Baths in baking soda were shown to greatly relieve itching. Overuse of baking soda, on the other hand, might deplete your scalp’s natural oils, aggravating your dry scalp problem. 

How to use it

  • Take 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda
  • Add it directly to your scalp and keep it for 2 minutes then quickly wash your hair thoroughly
  • You can do this twice a week
