Summer is here and we all know what that means. It’s time to beat the heat and protect our skin from it as well. We need to opt for a proper skincare regime or else it might be quite damaging to our skin. In a country like ours, overexposure to sunlight is quite common. It’s very easy to get sunburnt and be exposed to UV rays. Therefore, it’s important to take the necessary steps to protect our skin.

Wear good quality sunscreen:

Sunscreen is a skincare staple that should be a must have for everyone. There is no way around it. Make sure you invest in a longer-lasting sunscreen that also has an SPF higher than 30 better protection. In summer you might need to apply sun scream a few times to get the best protection.

Lighten your skincare:

In summer less is always more. Having too much product will make your skin further greasy and oily. Therefore, keep your face products minimal. For instance, if you can find a sunscreen that also works as a moisturizer use that instead of using two different products.

Moisturize:

Just because I already said that lighten your skincare products doesn’t mean that you will have to skip your moisturizing. Remember that your skin will always need some amount of moisturization even in this humid weather. So, don’t skip entirely on this part, you can do it lesser times than you did in winter.

Exfoliate:

Even though dermatologists suggest us not to over-exfoliate but in this heat it’s wise to do so. However, you might not need to do it every day. Do it according to your skin’s needs. Having exfoliating products in your skincare routine can save you from having that excess oil on your face.

Wash your face more:

Your face naturally gets oily in summer. Therefore, you need to wash your face more this season to get the excess oil out of the skin. Make sure you wash your face at least twice every day to get all the dirt out of your skin.
