Recently, air pollution has been a hot topic in various parts of the country, including the capital. Day by day this problem is becoming apparent due to lack of action.

According to the Air Quality Scale, the air in Dhaka recognizes as ‘Very Unhealthy’. That is a matter of great concern.

 

Generally, air pollution refers to the mixing of air with particles in different proportions of harmful substances. An air quality index of less than 50 means that the air quality is good. But for the past few weeks, the AQI of Dhaka air height up between 175 to 250. Unfortunately, such pollution is coming from various human-made sources.

 

And because the humidity is low in the air during the winter season, this problem has taken a terrible shape as the outcome. According to experts, this poor quality of air is causing various health risks. The condition of the children, especially elderly people, is very bad.

 

The inhalation of these polluted air is increasing the risk of various diseases such as allergies, asthma, pneumonia, respiratory infections, heartburn, etc. Experts warned that not to leave the house without urgent need. Besides, people of different age groups are being encouraged to use masks. It is urgently necessary to take appropriate action by authorities to prevent such nasty pollution.
