This bug was noticed by not just Pixel users, where it’s pre-installed as a default app. But people with other compatible android phones have also faced the same issue. People have been reporting the same issues left and right on Google Play Store and Reddit.

Android Authority even tried to replicate the bug to find the cause, but failed to do so. The usually suggested troubleshooting tricks like uninstalling then reinstalling, changing settings of the app, clearing cache, don’t seem to be helpful to everyone.

Some people connected the malfunction with the phone being in “DO NOT DISTURB”. This did solve the problem for few people. Others blamed it on the integration of Spotify, which allows you to wake up to the tune of your choosing. A solution to this was suggested as to use different tunes from within the phone to wake up.

Hopefully, till the issue is resolved and a new update of Google Clock is released, Try switching to another clock app. Alarmy, AlarmMon, and Sleep as Android are very good options. However, we recommend reading the product reviews and testing it out by yourself.
