Explaining the reason for joining hands with Tom Cruise, the NASA chief added, “We need a popular medium to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to implement our ambitious plans.”

According to a report in the Hollywood-based news portal Deadline, Tom Cruise is in talks with American automaker Tesla and SpaceX entrepreneur Elon Musk. So, they are in strong discussions with NASA. And, this will be the first full-length film shooting in space.

The action-adventure film is now in its primary stage. However, Tom Cruise’s representatives did not comment on it.

‘Mission: Impossible’ star Tom Cruise has a world-wide reputation for stunting adventures on the big screen in stunning scenes. He has flown warplanes in the much-awaited release ‘Top Gun: Maverick’.

In the last three parts of the ‘Mission: Impossible’ series, Tom Cruise has done one stunt after another. In 2015, he was seen hanging on the side of a plane flying in the sky in ‘Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation’.

Meanwhile, the idea of shooting in space has come to the mind of Tom Cruise from James Cameron.  The director of ‘Titanic’ and ‘Avatar’ incepted the idea 15 years ago. In 2018, he himself gave this information. Cameron even negotiated with the Russians in 2000 to shoot a three-dimensional documentary on the International Space Station.
